About Us

To cut a long story short

I am an ordinary guy with an ordinary background.. however what isn’t ordinary is my desire and hunger to be the best at what I do

this is what truly separates me.

Now let’s que the X factor story to give you some context; My father left when I was just two weeks old, I grew up playing tennis both for County and for England. Playing in age groups several years ahead of me – such was the pressure and expectations I put upon myself. Shattering my leg in 4 places during a football tournament started the extensive list of injuries.

A major car crash left me with my pelvis being broken in 3 places on both sides resulting in 4 major surgeries to reconstruct and repair it. Was my life easy? Absolutely not. Am I looking for sympathy? Absolutely not. I wouldn’t change a thing about it – as it’s given me this eternal hunger to help those around me achieve THEIR goals.

“You name it – I’ve tried it, I’ve studied it, and I’ve accepted it all as a part of the puzzle to optimising your body – they all play a part in this and hold value, what method is best really just depends on the individual and the goal(s) at hand.”

But Let’s Rewind

When my sporting career ended prematurely I turned to fitness, something I was in full control of (so I thought), however different surgeries always limited my progress – removal of my appendix, a ripped off bicep and a tonsillectomy which went wrong resulting in me losing too much blood, my heart stopping and me being officially declared dead. Despite all this – one thing remained constant – my love for fitness and helping others.

That’s why I decided to dedicate my life to health, fitness and nutrition. It has been the one thing I’ve truly felt called to do. This is why I started Ed Roe Coaching, a Lifestyle Training and Nutrition Coaching Company that understands that every individual is unique, different, and deserves a specifically tailored approach (that’s backed by science) to their fitness and nutrition.

See when it comes to training and nutrition, I’ve tried it all. Literally. I’ve done a bodybuilding show, used training for sport specific purposes, done countless photoshoot preps, used intermittent fasting for at least a full year before it was trendy, needed a Keto elimination diet to help with some autoimmune issues I faced, clean bulked and dirty bulked, rapid weight cuts and slow and steady cuts, high carb and low carb.

My journey might seem drastic, and to others it may seem ordinary.. the point I am making is that OUR journeys are unique to us, they don’t have to define who we are, they may have shaped our pasts but they do not need to be our future. When my tennis career finished, I thought it was the full stop at the end of that sentence for me.. it wasn’t – it was merely a comma and the next part of my story was just beginning. I want to be in your corner, to help you find your own comma and help you with the next part of your journey.
